REFUND/RETURN POLICY:

 

 ***Satisfaction Guarantee: Due to the subjective nature of herbal products, we do not offer a "satisfaction guarantee" for anything we sell at Taunton Bay Soap Company.

 Time-Frame Requirements: You must request your replacement or missing product within 2 business days of the delivery date stated on your tracking information. It is important that you check your package immediately upon delivery and it is your responsibility to confirm that you received the correct products and order. You must contact us by phone at 207-669-8246 or by email at support@tauntonbaysoapcompany.com to report any incorrect products, damages during shipping, or other complaints regarding your order. We reserve the right to deny claims that are made outside of the 2 business day time limit.

 Refunds: We offer refunds on a case-by-case basis, except when required by law. Due to the delicate nature of maintaining payment processing, we greatly prefer to offer credits or replacement products in lieu of refunds, if at all possible.

 Open Packages: We do not accept or provide returns, refunds, or replacements on any opened packages of botanical, supplement, tea, food, drink, tincture/suspension, or skincare products. It is both a safety and health concern, and we do not resell any products that have been opened by customers for any reason. Other types of products like jewelry & clothing may be accepted on a case-by-case basis.  

 Incorrect Products: - We will replace any products you receive that are incorrect according to your order. Please send pictures of the products you received, as well as a clear picture of the paper receipt included in your package via email to support@tauntonbaysoapcompany.com. Once we confirm the products are incorrect, we will send the remainder of the order (if you received a smaller size than ordered) or the full order of correct products, plus a return label via email to return the incorrect products. Once you print the label and we see the products are on their way via USPS, we will send out the correct products. You may also have the option to purchase incorrect products at a discounted rate. 

 Incorrect Order: If you receive someone else's order by mistake, we ask that you call us immediately at 207-669-8246, during the business hours specified on our website, to report it so we can fix it immediately. We will double check to be sure that you don't already have your correct package on the way. If you don't, we will send out your order as soon as possible by USPS Priority. For the other person's order, we will have you open the package, give us the name and/or order number so that we can also re-send their package, & either send you a return label by email, by mail, or have you refuse the package to USPS to have it sent back. You can refuse a package upon delivery if in person, or bring it to the nearest USPS location & let them know the receiver is not at the address specified on the package. You will not be charged in any way for shipping costs.

Damages During Shipping:  If your package is damaged during shipping, resulting in an apparent loss of product, we are happy to replace the amount of product that has been lost. You must contact us within 2 business days of receiving your shipment, as per the time-frame requirements stated above, with your name, order number, & pictures for our records. We require clear pictures of:

 - The front of the package(s), with a view of the product label

 - The area of damage (hole or cut, etc.)

 - the damaged box or envelope your order was shipped in, before you open it, if possible

 - If possible, pictures of the lost product itself. For our powdered or crushed leaf botanicals, there may be some loose product in the box. You can gather as much as you can in a pile, in a clear plastic bag, etc. & take a picture of that.

 - If reporting damages of products other than our herbal products, such a jewelry, skincare, clothing, etc., we understand it is not always possible to "show" the amount of loss, so the picture of damage(s) to the item or packaging will suffice.

 

***Please hold onto the lost product and/or damaged package(s) until we respond, in case we need further visual proof for our records.

 Losses Under 30 Grams Of Herbal Products: We will make a note on your account to include the lost amount in your next order unless other arrangements are made by customer service representatives, customer service manager, or the owners of Taunton Bay Soap Company.

 Losses Over 30 Grams Of Herbal Products: As long as the products are in stock, we will ship your replacement products as soon as possible, via USPS First Class Shipping or USPS Priority Shipping.

 Losses Or Damages Of Non-Kratom or Herbal Products: For products such as skincare, jewelry, clothing, etc. we will make every effort to send a replacement of the exact product you ordered, but because items like the jewelry & clothing we carry are handcrafted by local businesses, they may be "one of a kind" & require you to choose a different style, color, or product of equal value. For these products, we may also offer a store credit to be used on a future order or a refund for the amount of the damaged or lost product,

 USPS Insurance: All customers also have the option to file insurance claims with USPS for damages up to the amount of their product cost, or the limit specified on their tracking (usually $50 or $100). These must be filed within a certain time-frame, please visit www.USPS.com to see if you may qualify for the insurance filing.

Charges Policy:

 Unauthorized Charges: If someone uses your card to place an order with Taunton Bay Soap Company and you did not authorize the charges, please contact us by phone at 207-669-8246 during the business hours listed on our website. You must also report them to the police and your bank. If applicable, we will refund your card as required by law. If a package has already be shipped, we will try to stop delivery in all cases of unauthorized card use. If the purchase was made by someone in your household and the product was already sent to your billing and/or shipping address, we will try to stop delivery, but if it is too late to stop delivery to your billing and/or shipping address, we will email you a return shipping label & instructions. Once we see that the products are in transit to our shop via USPS tracking, we will refund the order. 

 

 Chargebacks: If you file a charge back with your financial institution and we do not receive the products that were refunded, we will not ship ANY future orders to you until previous debts are paid IN FULL or products are returned. We are required by law to report refund and return fraud, and we will file a charge to comply with regulations if we suspect fraud. 

 By placing any order with Taunton Bay Soap Company, you acknowledge these Refunds, Returns, and Replacement terms. Payment: We accept credit cards as a form of payment. There is no surcharge from Taunton Bay Soap Company for using your credit card to make purchases, however, please be aware that your banking provider may charge their own fees.  Please be sure to provide your exact billing address and telephone number - which will ALWAYS be the address and phone number your credit card or banking establishment has on file for you. Incorrect information will cause a delay in processing your order.  Taxes: Our store will automatically charge and withhold the applicable sales tax for orders to be delivered to addresses within the same state/province where Taunton Bay Soap & Tea Co. holds a presence - which means if you live within the state of Maine, by law, we are required to withhold the 5.5% state sales tax accumulated from your order total. For orders shipped to anywhere outside the state of Maine, you (the shopper) are solely responsible for any sales taxes and/or other local taxes or fees that may apply. By placing an order with Taunton Bay Soap Company, you agree to these terms.

 Age Restrictions: You must be 18 years of age or older to purchase products from this website. If in Tennessee, you must be 21 or older.

Shipping Policy: 

***Once your order has shipped, it is out of our hands & the responsibility to deliver is on USPS. We cannot be held liable for someone stealing your package or your card and/or money. To report theft, please contact your local USPS Post Office and local police department to file a report.

Restricted Areas:

 

TBSC Asian Tea (Kratom) Products will not be shipped to the following states/counties due to legal status &  legislation:

  • Utah - due to recent state laws, as we as not licensed to operate in Utah, we are unable to ship there at this time. 

 *If we find that you have placed an order to be shipped to an illegal state, we will refund your full order amount immediately and cancel your order in it's entirety. We will reserve the right to refuse you service in the future.

 Shipping & Processing Time --  We no longer offer a "same-day shipping cut off" or guarantee that orders will go out the same day they are placed. Most orders placed by 2:30 pm EST will ship the same day Monday-Friday. However, there are exceptions, such as when we have a sale or unexpected influx of orders that we cannot get every order placed that day shipped out. We will make every effort to process all orders same day, but some larger orders or those placed during unexpected influxes may take an extra 1-2 business days for processing when exceptions occur. Orders are not processed or shipped on Saturday or Sunday.

 

 Shipping Price: We charge a flat-rate fee of $8.95 for up to 3 kilograms in weight. Orders 4 kilograms & larger MUST be called in for a phone order at 207-669-8246 during the business hours listed on our website so that we can apply the appropriate adjusted shipping costs to your order. If you don't call for a phone order, your order may be put on hold until we can reach you for permission to charge your selected payment method for the remainder of the shipping costs. 

 Priority Shipping does not come with a guaranteed delivery date. Once USPS receives your package, they are then responsible for the delivery and condition of your package. We expect most orders to arrive within 2-7 business days, but due to circumstances that are out of our hands, your package may be delayed in transit. Should your package take more than 10 business days to arrive, we can then help you to file a missing package report & search with USPS for insurance payment up to the specified amount for your tracking. If you would like to purchase additional insurance coverage, please call us.

 

 Expedited Shipping: We offer "Expedited" (USPS Priority Express) shipping for your convenience Monday-Friday when we have staff who can take the package to the post office. Expedited shipping may not be available every day, so please call us at 207-669-8246 to confirm that we are accepting expedited orders for that day. USPS Priority Express is not a guaranteed overnight service. Many will receive their order within 1 business day, but for some in more rural areas and during the holidays for everyone, it may take the full 2 business days to receive your package. USPS Priority Express comes with a 1-2 day shipping time, with a guaranteed delivery date and time. All orders requesting expedited shipping must be placed by phone order only by 12 pm EST. Expedited shipping is available for a flat-rate fee of $30. As of 8/2018, USPS charges $24.90 for Priority Express shipping. Because our closest Post Office is a 40 minute round trip, and they must be turned in early afternoon, we offer the remaining $5.10 to whoever takes the expedited orders to the post office. This fee is non-negotiable. 

 Priority Express orders will receive a tracking email from our shipping department. If you don't see this email within 1 business day, please call and we'll be happy to get your tracking number for you.

 Priority Express shipping does come with a money-back guaranteed delivery date and time. If your order is late, we must wait until you to receive your package before we are able to file for a refund with USPS for the money back. As the sender, we will file for that once we've confirmed delivery date and/or time is outside of the guaranteed window & credit your customer account an equal amount to the shipping price we charged you, include extra products in your next order, or provide a refund to your card. 

 

 For any issues with delivery, delivery time, tracking questions, and insurance information, we recommend contacting your local post office. The 800 number call center only has access to the same information that we have. Your local post office may be able to give you more information (including a GPS location on your package) and further assist you where we cannot.

We can never guarantee when an order will arrive. Consider any shipping or transit time offered to you by this site or other parties only as an ESTIMATE. We encourage you to order in a timely fashion to avoid delays caused by shipping or product availability.

 Out Of Stock Products - We will ship your product as it becomes available. We strive to ship out all orders by next business day. However, there may be times when the product you have ordered is out-of-stock, which will delay fulfilling your order. We will keep you informed of any products that you have ordered that are out-of-stock and unavailable for immediate shipment. You may cancel your order at any time prior to shipping.

 Multiple Product Orders: For multiple product orders, we will make every attempt to ship all items contained in that order at the same time, in the same box. If some products are out of stock when we begin to pack your order, we will reach out to inform you. Products that are unavailable at the time of shipping will be shipped as they become available, or can be credited to your account, added to your next order, swapped out for a different product, or refunded. You will only be charged for shipping at the rate quoted to you on your purchase receipt. If we need to ship your ordered products at a later date/as they become available, we will not charge you more shipping costs.
